James "JT" Taylor

10/13/60 - 8/15/15 Richmond, Virginia

An original Board Member of JoePro, JT was in fact instrumental in the planning of JoePro for many years prior to its formation.

A stand out person, student and athlete at Varina high school, JT earned a full scholarship in football to the Unversity of Virginia. In a JV game at UVA, JT claimed to have sacked Vinny Testaverde 4 times.

At 6 feet 5 inches 350 pounds JT was physically imposing, however, in heart , spirit , energy and enthusiasm, he was "larger than life".

Few people who cross the face of the earth cared more about others than JT. Despite extreme physical liabilities for most of his adult life from many college football injuries JT went forth constantly serving and helping others.

Among his multitude of loving endeavors were coaching/mentoring a top notch home schooled football team in Richmond called the Disciples, continued planning, assisting and offering ideas to create and initiate JoePro56 and giving rides, money and clean clothes to the homeless in Richmond while barely being able to walk himself. He was and always will be an inspiration to those who knew him for his eternal upbeat, positive attitude and energy despite facing extreme physical difficulties.

For JT, it was ALWAYS about helping others and making the world a better place.

On August 15, 2015 JT passed away in a one car accident while returning to Richmond from Charlottesville where he had been providing comfort to his critically ill girlfriend at UVA hospital. The world lost a true warrior that day, a MAN of men,  a man that cared, shared and loved and did the world right.

His spirit soul and energy will live on and JoePro56 thanks JT whole heartedly for all his work for us and others.

JT is survived by two wonderful children, ZACH and ZOE, who will carry his spirit as well.
